I have just installed SQL Explorer on Helios, and it all seemed to have installed fine, because I get to see all the SQL Explorer preferences and views.
However, I am having trouble adding JDBC drivers to the SQL Explorer. I entered the path to the connector ".jar" file in the "Extra Class Path" tab, and specifying the Driver Class Name com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybDriver.
I had to enter the Driver Class Name manually, because it does not list it when I click on "List Drivers".
I know this works on Eclipse Helios 3.6.0.r360_v20100602, but for some reason does not appear to work on Eclipse Helios 3.6.1.r361_v20100909.
Can anyone help with this?
But it does not appear to work, as it still shows a red cross icon for the driver in the list of JDBC Drivers.
Has anyone else had problems adding JDBC drivers to this plugin in Helios?
I found a problem in list drivers when the full path to your driver jar contains special characters like spaces. Try to put your driver jar in a 'clean' directory like c:/jdbc/sybase/jconnx.jar. I will fix this with next release.
