Does anyone have SQLExplorer working with helios? If so, do you have it running under 64 bit Windows 7? When I start up, I see no failures, no error log entries, just no SQLExplorer (well the help plugin seems to install) I'm a bit puzzled as to where to start looking?

I have SQLExplorer-Plugin running in Helios on MacOs 64 bit and Win XP 32 bit.
Did you install the plugin using the update URL: http://eclipsesql.sourceforge.net?
    Check your instalaltion:
    - Help / About Eclipse / Button: Installation Details
    - In Tab Installed Software you can see:  Eclipse SQL Explorer ?
    - In Tab Features you can see: SQL Explorer Project ?
    - In Tab Configuration click View Error Log and check for sqlexplorer related errors.

Did you try Window / Open Perspective / Other…/ SQL Explorer ? :-)

    Hi,

Yes, tried all that, I've installed via the update site and via the zip. Under installation details its listed under installed software but not under plugins and there are no errors in the error log.
Interestingly, when I build the CVS version I have the same problem if I try and drop the jar into my plugins or dropin directories, but it does work if I run as… an eclipse application.
My gut feeling is it's a java/eclipse 64 vs 32 bit issue, I'll let you know when I find it.

ok, I wiped and reinstalled eclipse and my 1.6 jdk and it worked fine from the update site this time. I'll put it down to either my incompetence or a quirk of my environment.

Nice to hear that all is fine now. :-)
Thank you for your feedback, thats not a matter of course today. Many people asking for help here and did not answer on following up questions.

I have the same problem. I installed it from update site.

I says that SQL explorer is installed, but perspective doesn't appear. Any ideas how to solve it?

    - In Tab Installed Software you can see:  Eclipse SQL Explorer ?
    Yes
    - In Tab Features you can see: SQL Explorer Project ?
    No
    - In Tab Configuration click View Error Log and check for sqlexplorer related errors.
Nothing except that SQL Explorer is already installed when I try to install it again. So it's ok here.
    - Did you try Window / Open Perspective / Other…/ SQL Explorer ? :-)
    No such perspective.

    Any ideas?
