#15 removed fields seem removed but aren't in metadata
If I remove a field from a class that currently has
metadata, save the file, then open up the metadata
editor, and expand that class, I don't see the field, as
expected. But when I look at the metadata in text
form, I still see it there (the enhancer also complains
that I have too much metadata for the class if I try
enhancing).

Yes, it is a known issue. We have a project to support
refactoring: rename, move and delete.
