It's been pointed to me, rightly, that the GHC Preferences are not used any more. We use the Cabal options to compile, through scion, and the same options are used in GHCi also. So I'm thinking of doing the following: - remove a couple of options that don't apply (like "use these settings for GHCi": it's up to the IDE to know what settings are not right for GHCi) - rephrase the preferences pages so that they are "default preferences", and use these preferences when creating a new project - reuse the same ui (the UI may be modified as noted in one of the sourceforge ticket) in the project properties. For each component in the Cabal file, basically use that UI to let the user configure the "extensions" or "ghc-options" field. Thoughts anyone? -- JP Moresmau http://jpmoresmau.blogspot.com/ |
