EclipseFP would be perfect, when interactive GHCi session in Eclipse console view would support command history with up/down arrows. As I understand, it's the limitation of Eclipse.
Can anyone suggest another solution for comfortable interactive testing/debugging with EclipseFP? Running GHCi from system terminal would be almost good, but then I don't have the convenience of automatic reload after editing a file.
BTW, can EclipseFP load current file in GHCi via system terminal?
As you said you can configure Eclipse to launch GHCi as an external tool, in a normal command line window, or use an integrated shell in Eclipse like http://www.wickedshell.net/, but it won't be understood by EclipseFP as a GHCi process that you can send reloading and breakpoint commands to. I'll look into adding the possibility in the preferences to start the GHCi process externally and not in the console, so you can have both your normal shell and EclipseFP sending commands to it.
For reference, the limitations in Eclipse: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=36669
Will be done in 2.3.1: http://jpmoresmau.blogspot.fr/2012/06/command-history-in-eclipsefp-ghci.html
