Hi! =46irst, many thanks for the EclipseShell Plugin!! (Second, sorry for my english :P) The project is still alive? I want to comment that I'm working in the Jython feature for EclipseShell=20 (this started as an experiment and distraction at time of final exam's). The state of the plugin is (very)pre-alpha, but it's (mainly) working. Most of the work to do is: - Autocompletion - Syntax coloring - Solve a problem with the console: to see the output (like in the Jython= =20 shell), a print statement must preceed any code Regards,=20 =2D-=20 Guillermo Gonzalez JID: ggonzalez -AT- jabber -DOT- org Linux User #385261 Powered by Gentoo! =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =2D-=20 Guillermo Gonzalez JID: ggonzalez -AT- jabber -DOT- org Linux User #385261 Powered by Gentoo! =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D La ciencia que la humanidad tiene en un momento dado depende de lo que es l= a=20 humanidad en ese momento. -- Georg Simmel. Cool! Do you know http://pydev.sourceforge.net/ The maintainer added some scripting support in it as far as I know, but maybe he'd be interested in EclipseShell Jython support additionally. > Most of the work to do is: > - Autocompletion > - Syntax coloring OK. I suppose you know this: http://eclipse-shell.sourceforge.net/devs/index.html If you have any questions, feel free to ask. > - Solve a problem with the console: to see the output (like in the Jython > shell), a print statement must preceed any code Hmm... do you run Jython in the same VM as Eclipse or externally? If you run it internally, your ExecutionEnvironment could just send the output of an operation directly to the OutputStream (it's handed an OutputStream that goes to the Console). murphee -- Blog @ http://jroller.com/page/murphee Maintainer of EclipseShell @ http://eclipse-shell.sourceforge.net/ |

I ask, because I don't see any updates from -d:pserver:ano...@ec...:/cvsroot/eclipse-shell > > > I want to comment that I'm working in the Jython feature for EclipseShell > > (this started as an experiment and distraction at time of final exam's). > > The state of the plugin is (very)pre-alpha, but it's (mainly) working. > > Cool! > Do you know http://pydev.sourceforge.net/ > The maintainer added some scripting support in it as far as I know, Yes, I know PyDev, but never tried the scripting support. I don't know if this is related in some way to "PyDev extensions", which I never tried, but I believe that provides a Interactive console. But it's not open source :P > but maybe he'd be interested in EclipseShell Jython support additionally. Perhaps when the plugin is a little more stable (I need to learn much more of eclipse and it's plugin's) > > Most of the work to do is: > > - Autocompletion > > - Syntax coloring > > OK. Actually, it's tunning in the VM as Eclipse. JythonEnviroment, implements IExecutionEnvironment, IJavaRuntimeHandler, IWorkspace, and the constructor is: <code> public JythonEnvironment(IResource file, OutputStream consoleOutput) { this.resource_ = file; this.consoleOutput = consoleOutput; this.interpreter = new CustomJythonInterpreter(); this.interpreter.setOut(this.consoleOutput); this.interpreter.setErr(this.consoleOutput); ... } </code> I think is something related to Jython itself or how I implement the interpreter, I am going to ask to somebody in #jython . -- Guillermo Gonzalez JID: ggonzalez -AT- jabber -DOT- org Linux User #385261 Powered by Gentoo! ================================= |
