    Hi Guido Schwarzer,

your problem may be solved if you reinstall your java version or redownload your portable java here (Scroll down for a 64bit version.)
I found this official page with the error: https://www.java.com/en/download/help/error_mainclass.xml

Thank you for downloading Eclipse Portable!

Shouldn't you change the java link on https://sourceforge.net/projects/eclipse-neon-portable/ to https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/java_portable_64 if the portable version requires 64 bit java? Unless it installs with 64/32bit eclipse based on the hosts operating system in which case it should still have both links and mention that you pick them depending on your the OS you install the portable version with.

        Hi user,
thank you very much for the notice!
When I wrote the description back then, both versions (64 bit and 32 bit) were on the same page.
