    Hello all,

I am a student who just enrolled in a java class and I just started using Eclipse and checkstyle is required for the assignments. Previously, I had gotten the new MacBook Pro and installed Eclipse and the Checkstyle from the marketplace with no problems. I had to format my mac and reinstall Sierra for some software issues, so I had to reinstall everything.

I have the latest Eclipse installed for neon 2 but whenever I try to install checkstyle 7.3.0 it would say that it is unable to do so. It is always saying "The following solutions are not available: Checkstyle Plug-in 7.3.0 (id=net.sf.eclipsecs.feature.group, site=http://eclipse-cs.sourceforge.net/update/)." Now I try to go to Help>Install New Software and try to install it that way by downloading the files and installing the files from Archive and it still says that no software could be found at this location. I also tried to drag and drop the files and putting in the website, http://eclipse-cs.sourceforge.net/#!/install, and they all give errors.

I am at a lost at what I need to do.

Some troubleshooting steps I've tried to do is reinstall Eclipse three times and it still happens. I've tried installing other themes and it works fine. It just seems to be the CheckStyle that doesnt want to install. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you for your time.

I tried in this way because i had the same issue and for me it works.
Try to go to http://eclipse-cs.sourceforge.net/#!/ and click Download. Then in Eclipse go to Help > Install New Software, click Add and then on Archive. Select the zip you just dowloaded and it should intall it.

I can confirm that I am seeing the same behavior as Vincent using the same platform. Adding the update site (https://eclipse-cs.sourceforge.net/update) manually when attempting to use Help > Install New Software... produces the same result as well.

    Hey all,
I've moved hosting of the update site to Bintray.com. The update site url remains unchanged.
I hope this will resolve installation issues for the time being.
