Category: eclipse-ccase Group: 2.x Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 4 Private: No Submitted By: Andrei Loskutov (andyandy) Assigned to: Mikael Petterson (eraonel) Summary: Console is full of garbage on Linux after update to 2.1.3 Initial Comment: After updating to the 2.1.3 plugin version and starting Eclipse again, the Linux console is full of meaningless CC log messages. I can NOT use Eclipse after update because it prints out screens of garbage into the console. Please switch off the logging to system out and system error AS DEFAULT. Of course I can redirect it, but then I will not see REAL Eclipse problems, if they happen. BTW, Eclipse has it's own logging framework ;-) Logging in the production software has to be set OFF by default. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Andrei Loskutov (andyandy) Date: 2008-09-04 09:52 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=224122 Originator: YES Thank you for the fast response. I'm triyng to test the plugin right now with the target to install it in the lab next week. Can you briefly describe on the plugin site, what is the difference between 1.* and 2.* versions? I assumed it should be faster, but actually cannot confirm this. Of course it depends on the CC server, but I'm just interesting what kind of tweaks you've used in 2.* branch? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mikael Petterson (eraonel) Date: 2008-09-04 09:42 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=102780 Originator: NO Hi Andy, Thanks for trying out the new version of the plugin. I am sorry that I left out debug in the production environment. I will remove that and make a patch asap. I hope that it will be satisfactory? cheers, //mike ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=460297&aid=2092673&group_id=50595 |
