Category: ucm Group: None Status: Closed >Resolution: Duplicate Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Andrew McCullough (andyfsu99) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Intgeration of UCM functions (Activity) Initial Comment: I would like to see (as time and inclination allows) some support added for the UCM features of ClearCase. Namely, we have to specify an Activity when we check out a file. An activity can either be user defined, or if you are brave enough to attempt tighter integration with other Rational products (I'm not), they might be added from ClearQuest. As far as I understand it (and I am not CC expert) the Activities are persistent. You can either choose an existing activity, or specify a new one on checkout. The activity is basically like a comment in base- ccase, but it is reuseable and you can do queries based on them (e.g. how many checkouts are there for activity "Fix bug #456"). Activities, also like comments, generally are only specified on checkout but are carried through on checkin. I have attached the screenshot from ClearCase that we get on checkout. The rational CC plugin also pops up this screen. Great work :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Gunnar Wagenknecht (gwagenknecht) Date: 2006-11-09 16:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=372260 dup of 1593502 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Gunnar Wagenknecht (gwagenknecht) Date: 2004-04-24 15:12 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=372260 May be later if we find someone that is willing to implement API for dealting with UCM in the ClearCase API layer. I don't have suitable experience with UCM because we don't use it in our projects. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=460300&aid=577175&group_id=50595 |
