Currently, you have to manaully associate a project with clearcase. It would be useful if when adding a new project (create/import) the plugin would detect if the project is in a clearcase view and automatically prompt you to associate the project with the plugin.

Good idea, but I lowered priority because "associate" is just a one-time action for a project.
Maybe we can add that later.

I agree and since I am the only one maintaining the project I have to prioritize bugs before other things. But yes it is a feature that I would like to see.

    Hi Mike,
Do you have any pointers where to start to implement this? Then I will give it a try and share back. I'm unfamiliar with Eclipse PDE api's so any pointer would be welcome.

I've implemented auto associating of projects.
As basis for this implementation is the way egit is doing it (via a job listening for new projects) combined with logic from AssociateProjectAction.java.
Note that the auto associate options can be enabled/disabled via preference.

I don't know if this the best solution, but for us it's working at the moment.

Is this feature going to be in one of the next versions?
