Hi Richard, The author of Joust gives explicit permission for others to alter and redistribute the software so long as the copyright notice in the source code remains, so we can continue to revise and debug the software even though the original author has discontinued development. So far, we have found that the software performs well in many different environments (IE and Netscape on Win, Mac and Linux) and hasn't generated many support requests, so I think it is feasible for us to support and revise the software ourselves for use in EClass. I hope this answers your question! Kevin -----Original Message----- From: ecl...@li... [mailto:ecl...@li...] On Behalf Of Richard Mohun Sent: Thursday, January 23, 2003 8:54 AM To: ecl...@li... Subject: [Eclass-users] Joust treeliner Hello I noticed that you are using the Joust treeliner which is not being developed further. How will this affect the future development of eclass?
