Robert, I've checked the EchoHam logs and I can see your (WB4SJN) EchoHam connection attempts on 8 Feb 2020 between 1200 and 1300UTC. It appears that your port forwarding is blocked. Hi Jim, Thanks for your prompt reply. There is no report or error messages. The application will not load and its icon is grayed out. See attached screen capture Catalina no longer support 32 bit applications, but if Echolink is 64 bit, should it not run on Catalina? Thanks for your support, Roger B. EchoHam is not EchoMac. EchoHam is a version of EchoMac with, I believe, a rewritten back end, distributed in compiled form only, on the Mac App Store. It contains an explicit check for version greater than 10.10.x and aborts if it detects 10.11. 73 Hal N3YX > On Dec 21, 2015, at 7:57 PM, Les Norton <gm4jnw@...> wrote: > > I jut get a pop up as i try to install from the download in the app store, saying this version is incompatible with the version of the operating system. > ver 10.11.2 > Strange how it works for you! > Echomac works but not Echoham > The actual error says > > Incompatibe version of OS X. > EchoHam has not been released for the current OS. > > When clicking on the Echoham icon > > > >> On 22 Dec 2015, at 00:42, Bishop Bill Atwood <bpbill@... <mailto:bpbill@...>> wrote: >> >> I just tried it on my iMac using El Capitan 10.11.2 and it worked. EchoMac Group A member of the group was very helpful to me by forwarding some information on how to set the Apple Airport Extreme up for EchoHam. A problem still exists trying to get either an iMac on the Ethernet via an older BEC modem and a MacBook through the WiFi connection. I am aware that only one should run at any given time. The problem is with Port Forwarding. I think and am not sure of this but maybe a Static IP is needed to accommodate the Outbound TCP 5200 port and the UDP in/out ports # 5198 & 5199? The BEC modem is an older 5200S (I did receive some help from their staff - but, EchoHam was a stranger to them). I just do not know which values to put into the modem in order to make port forwarding work. The Mac's do have a program to run which checks which ports are open and none of them are open for EchoMac or EchoHam. Any screen shots showing where to put the values, etc... or any advice on what to try next? The iPhone App is working ok. Special thanks to Dino for his support and help.
