[Echo-list] Programmatically strart an Echo instance

Hi,

Is there a way to programmatically start up an echo session (instance)?
I need it in the following situation: I have a web-application to manage
users (UMA). This component is also used to authenticate other projects.

If I log in into an other project and follow a link pointing to the user
management gui I would like to avoid another authenitcation. In other
words I would like to start up an Echo instance, set some context
variables (authentication info) and then let it run.

Is there a way to do this?
