#45 ecasound 2.5.0 and 2.7.0 hangs after make check on rhel5

Compiling from sources proceeds OK until the 'make check; - then both
versions (2.5.0 and 2.7.0) print out the first line of the check and then
hangs. This appears to lock up the computer, even the mouse and the
keyboard do not respond. Being concerned I have reset the computer each
time after 15 seconds or so.

Any idea what is happening? Thank you!
