It's a great idea, but i don't of standard for saving meta-data of books on files (like ID3 for MP3). I could use NTFS stream, but it won't survive copying to USB, etc.

Do you know of another mechanism?

PDF has meta-information, maybe you can use it? Another way less elegant to use description file for each folder.

Problem is it won't work for all the other formats, so it can't be a generic solution
