#32 Better sounds and icons.
I am running version 1.1.1 and the sounds are not very nice and I keep them disabled, but I would be glad if in the next version new sounds would be added.
Icons can be found very easily under GPL at http://gnome-look.org . This would improve the user experience with eboard.
Hello Luca, I am not sure did you try already the eboard-extras (1) ?
eboard-extras packages are additional graphics + sounds

I installed eboard-extras and am pleased with chess pieces and sounds.
I like the sounds and the chess sets and boards, loaded in themes.
In regards to the icons, I was not referring to the chess sets with nice pieces, I was referring to the icons on the buttons and I thought maybe eboard would make use of desktop icons like "back" "forward" "close" and so on... or at least give the option to switch between eboard icons and desktop icons or user defined icons.
