Hello cortexcorepl,

I think you are right in terms of liveness of the project.

I'll keep an eye on your fork & maybe contribute. There
is the long term bug when eboard does not redraw while
establishing a connection to fics and the other one that
it consumes 100% cpu when it loses the connection after
suspend.

What would also be awesome if some of the FICS features
were made visible in the GUI (like profile editing).

That said, let the work begin!

p.s.: I do consider forking a good thing - it motivates the undead
      and in case original development has a rebirth, one can
