is it possible somehow to start another game w/o having to cease the current game (actually when i start another one - i can see asterisk (*) next to the previous game in 'games on client' dialog)? i would like to run for example 2+ games against AI oponent.

if you mean playing an engine (crafty, GNU chess, etc.), the only way to
do it is running multiple instances of eboard and starting a game in each
eboard. Be careful for some engines (notably crafty) use some temporary
files for things like learning tables, and multiple crafties running with
the same working directory may break each other.
if you mean playing multiple games on FICS, eboard does not support simuls
(yet), which is the only way to play multiple games on FICS with a single
connection (see 'help simuls' on the server), but xboard supports it. I
don't know whether Knights and Jin support it. If you don't mind playing
unrated, you can always launch multiple eboards, connect each as a guest
and play one game with each.
