I have just added Mike (mhill, geod) as eboard developer on sourceforge
and will add Phillip (Gorgonian) when I find out his sourceforge handle.
I will add, still today, a module to CVS called eboard-extras, with the
skeleton for the package.
Those involved with the extras package may modify at will this module,
but be careful with the eboard module, the module that contains the source
code. I will review any patch before it hits the code, so sending a diff
file to me (as a private mail or through sourceforge's bug tracker,
whichever you prefer) is still better than just committing changes to
Daniel already has developer CVS access. If you want to add man pages (and
modify Makefile.am accordingly) or change documentation, ok.
But as far as code goes (.cc , .h), I'd rather have the diff first to
check whether I like it or not.
As for the eboard-extras module, you're free to work on it as you please,
just be careful about adding artwork owned by others before asking
permission. If you want to show the other developers a piece set before
you get permissions cleared, post somewhere on the web and send the link
to the mailing list.
Also, keep in mind that PNG is already a compressed format and gzip will
do little for them. gzip isn't very happy compressing WAVs either. On the
other hand, gzip compresses MIDI files amazingly well.
So when checking 'what size will this package be', if most files are PNGs
just 'du' will probably be a good approximation.
And concerning CVS in general: please don't do any 'cvs import' commands,
let _me_ do them as needed ('cvs add's inside a module are ok), it's easy
to screw up importing the wrong thing to the wrong place and sourceforge
is _slooow_ to fix things when we screw up CVS.
Gian-Carlo, if you want CVS access just tell me and you're in.
Marlon and Miguel: do you have a sourceforge account ? If you want in,
tell me your handle.
I'll send another email when eboard-extras hits CVS (60 to 90 mins from
