I haven't instaled the eboard-extras pack yet so I translated the "configured sound files" word-by-word. It seems to be less pain than leaving it untranslated. I'll install the extra pack laterandcheckif the translation makes sense. Ales |

In my opinion, if a big part of the translation is correct, and the updated= =20 files are not not translated, it is better to accept such gap. If some new= =20 italian users decover this, probably they will translate. The corrected german translation file you will receive tomorrow. BTW. Thanks for the replay concerning my last comments to eboard. The trick with the empy square (in the board setup) works fine - a good=20 solution. Concerning pepito, I believe it works with Xboard protocol version2. Concering the documentation for eboard, I was already thinking about writin= g=20 some, but the last weeks we had and have up to now very high temperatures=20 here in Germany (up to 38 =B0C) so in fact it is hard to do such things. Wh= en=20 the rainy days come back, I will look for this again. Greetings and best regards Bernhard _____________________________________________ > Eboard-devel mailing list > Eboard-devel@... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/eboard-devel |

Bernhard, Ales, any other translator who might be hearing: ftp://ftp.seul.org/pub/chess/eboard/testing/pre091pos.tar.gz has all po files up to my latest review. pt_BR is complete as far as I know, Ales's latest cs.po lacked the missed strings in the games in client dialog (From ICS, From PGN FIles, etc.), the po in there already has them (without a translation). I noticed while making the pt_BR translation that gettext has the stupid idea of trying to guess the translation for new strings based on previous ones, but at least marks these as fuzzy. Berhard removed the fuzzy tag without checking the contents. In particular, I found this: #: network.cc:326 network.cc:661 #, c-format msgid "Host not found: %s" msgstr "Host nicht gefunden" Please check that all strings marked with c-format have the proper fomrat tags (%d, %s, etc) in the correct number and order. I tried to update the italian translation on my own, but it's awful, I'm considering removing the italian translation completely. When you're done with the corrections, send me the po files. And Ales, the "Configured sound files" is shown on the Sound edit dialog (where you choose pitch and duration of beeps, name of the WAV file, etc.) when a theme pack from eboard-extras is installed (the installed WAV files are in a list labeled by that string). ......................................................................... One thing I know is that eboard can't talk to engines who are xboard-version 1 only (that is the protocol version). I'll check this engine sometime, most engine problems I get reports about are v1-only engines. Sorry for the delay in the answer, I was browsing my mailbox today and found this email lost there among other things. .........................................................................
