Occasionally when playing a game, the connection to fics silently gets lost. Usually I notice it, when my opponent seems to run out of time, but does not get flagged. When I type a command like "fi" I get no response from fics.
I observed this problem with and without timeseal. So I activated the log files (see attachment). My eboard debug info are:
GTK+ version 2.12.9
GCC says: c++ (GCC) 4.2.4 (Ubuntu 4.2.4-1ubuntu4)
Perl says: This is perl, v5.8.8 built for i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi
expect says: sh: expect: not found
kernel info: Linux 2.6.24-25-generic i686
FICS timeseal:
Found /home/rkn/.eboard/timeseal.Linux
Size 173240 bytes, Last Modified Fri Oct 9 22:00:22 2009
Mode 100744. (seems it is enough to be run by eboard)

As you can see in the LOG.eboard file, after the last move of a game I was watching while playing (usually I only encounter the connection loss if I don't watch other games) I get no "fics%". Can you advise how to find out more about the connection status? Thank you.
