The only way (for the moment) is to save the virtual database as a normal
database, which you can do by selecting "Save database as..." from the Ebib menu
(or by typing `M-x ebib-write-database'). That will save the virtual database
as a .bib file.

It is currently not possible to edit a virtual database directly, with the
changes being made to the underlying real database. I am currently working on
rewriting Ebib to separate the database code from the UI code, which should make
it easier to add this functionality. I don't know when that will be ready,
however...
