eBay Agent / News: Recent posts

No new version of the script has been released in a long time, and most of the news fixes and patches are nowadays part of the CVS version. Please download the latest CVS version.

First, for people wondering about the bid bug ... we should have a patch in the CVS for that (Thanks to Stelian Pop)

Then, if anybody is willing to work on maintaing the script, well I am unfortunately too busy at present time to be able to do it anymore (and for the few months to come). If you are interested, please contact me.

Note that this is a BETA version (works for me it seems), and that it will be released after being testing by you and others; please let me know it works for you.

After over two years of work on the project, I unfortunately do not find enough spare time anymore to continue maintaining / extending the software, and will therefore retire shortly from this task. I am therefore sending a request for a new person to please come forward and contact me (by e-mail at "martial@users.sourceforge.net") in order to continue maintaining the script.

I will try to submit a last patch (final 0.9.9 or maybe to finish in beauty "1.0") to fix the latest bid problem that was reported yesterday; but unfortunately not very shortly (I have a "beta" --not in the CVS-- for people interested to look at the possible fix; please contact me directly).... read more

We are aware of the problem and trying to fix something as quickly as possible.

There is a little change in the layout of eBay, and the current fix (and hopefully soon to be made a full version) is in the CVS.

This release should fix the current change in eBay's HTML format that did forbid eBayAgent from bidding (see CHANGES in header of the script for acknowledgments).

Note: this version is a candidate for a new release as it include a couple new features that need to be checked.

Proposal for version 0.9 include many new options (see CHANGES in the beginning of the perl file for latests, but as of 2002-01-19 at 18:41 EST :
