The EasySearchEngine (ESE) is a highly adaptable, configuration-driven, .NET middle-tier data broker that provides a single access point for data consumers without regard for the type or location of the data being accessed or the consumer applications accessing that data.

The ESE uses a "search definition" XML configuration file to describe the various data sources, accepted parameters and access credentials that are needed to conduct a specific search. It also describes the data source "connector" needed to connect to the data source and process the data. This connector implements an interface exposed by the ESE and provides programmers the ability to connect to and process data in a variety of locations and formats either with generic connectors or with their own specialized implementations of the IESEDataSourceConnector.... read more
