I am having a little trouble installing easyPOS on my
RH7.0 system. Had a little touble extracting the files
but I think I've got them all right. I extracted each
file individually into their respective folders
accoring to the links that showed by opening with
LnxZip. The files extracted into the easyPOS/ folder.
I made the bin folder under /home as /home/bin. I then
opened a terminal window and cd'd to /home
types 'make' and returned:
'/usr/bin/ld: cannot open output
file /home/scott/bin/reg2: No such file or directory
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [reg2] Error 1'
My first question is should I be running under root or
scott during the extraction/installation. Next, what
is the error message telling me? Any help would be
great! My friend has opened a restaurant and would
like to give it a try! Thanks, Scott neids@aol.com

don't do the make in /home. do it in the directory with the
sources and the Makefile: (usually /easyPOS.)
no need for root.
