#4 Error at install step 1

Hi, i'm trying to install easymoblog at
http://www.ainsleehooper.com/easymoblog-0.5.1/

i've set up the database etc, done all the file
permissions. When i enter the relevant details in step
one, i get the error msg
Error connecting to mySQL server (check mySQL
connection parameters)
Error selecting database (check database name)

i've done this a few times thinking i could've mistyped
something, deleted, and redone, but i get the same
error. Any help appreciated, thanks, Ainslee
