we have installed on a fresh SuSE11.1 with kde4.2.1 easy eclipse with the pydev extensions.
Currently everytime a traceback occures we found parts of the error messages added to our source file which we try to debug. This makes the source code broken. eclipse shows a lot of incorrect lines, which weren't there before that traceback was shown.
It sounds like a problem caused by used file descriptors.
This is the first time I have seen this kind of problem.
