Hi,
you probably have to set your systems default shm size (which is limited
by default on most systems to 16mb or 32mb) to a higher value.
Eaccelerator can only use/aquire SHM in the size the system - to be more
precise the kernel - is currently configured to. Maybe your apache or
system logs will show some line about this ("not enough shm cache" or
similar)..
You told us that your system has 1gb of ram. To enable a maximum (of 1gb)
of SHM for all your applications that will use SHM, please enter this on
your console:
echo 1073741824 > /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax
Attention - the above setting will be LOST after/on every reboot!
To have this setting as a default, please edit your /etc/sysctl.conf like
this:
kernel.shmmax =3D 1073741824
