Hello. I'm trying to cross-compile e2fsprogs-1.41.9. I configured it with --build=i686-unknown-linux-gnu --host=x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu. make and make install apparently work fine, but then I notice that the resulting installed binaries are for a 32-bit platform instead of 64-bit. Before configuring the package, I added to the beginning of PATH the place where my cross-compiler is. Despite of this, it seems the configure script is using the default compiler on the host system, a native compiler. In my opinion it should be possible to cross-compile e2fsprogs without setting CC or other similar variables. Finally, i'm cross-compiling other packages (~25), too, but none of them has a similar problem.
