I try to debug a perl script on my windows 7 machine with perl 5.16, Eclipse 3.7.0 and e.p.i.c 0.6.41. As soon as I start the debugger I get the following error:
Unable to connect to remote host: 10.197.46.234:5000
    Compilation failed in require.
    at C:/Users/xv13499/workspace/Skripte/PmsBuildLokal.pl line 0.

    eval {…} called at C:/Users/xv13499/workspace/Skripte/PmsBuildLokal.pl line 0
    BEGIN failed-compilation aborted.

When I switch back to Perl 5.10 I can debug without any problems.
There is nothing running on port 5000.

    Any ideas.

just to be sure I upgraded to the latest e.p.i.c release 0.6.45. No change in behaviour.

Perhaps there is something strange in your @INC path that causes versions of Perl to be mixed up? Is your problem reproducible with a Hello World?

I tried with a 32bit Windows Server 2003, Eclipse 3.7.0, ActiveState Perl 5.16.1 and EPIC 0.6.45 and encountered no problems while debugging a simple script.

    Hi Jan,
just discovered that I had already opened this discussion. See my comment in topix
