Can't invoke templates in Eclipse for Mac

I'm using Eclipse 3.72 with Perl EPIC on Snow Leopard on Mac. I've created some templates, but the help only gives instructions for using them on Windows. I tried Ctrl-Space as the help suggests, as well as Cmd-Space and a number of other keystroke combos, but the template list never pops up. Is this a Mac bug? Or is there a magic, undocumented keystroke?

I checked my System Preferences and my macro editor, and can't see where Ctrl-space is assigned to any other function.

    Thanks - Barbara

Can you try  "option-/" (possibly you have emacs binding set up in eclipse) ?

Alternatively try setting the key binding preference in Eclipse > Preferences > General > Keys to some other combination say "Alt-Space" for example and see if that works.
