#9 drag layer on path

Layer dragging is rather nifty; I propose that if
users could drag a layer ALONG A PATH, from one
coordinate to another (and another, etc.), then we'd
see a very practical application of layer dragging and
interface design. Sliders wouldn't have to be linear.
Better yet, if there was an "on coordinate" event,
then when a layer was dragged to coordinates x,y, an
event would fire.

Please, oh please let me know if you develop this or
if you know of its existence.
