The problem with cookies is that, though you can write them, you can only read them again (and get a new value for instance) only if you reload a page, so I don't think you can use them to comunicate with the browser, without reloading the page. -----Original Message----- From: dyn...@li... When you make a request for a new web page the cookies that qualify are sent to the server along with your request. This way when you want to access a cookie on the server: VB ASP: x = Request.Cookies("Name") The values are available to the server.
