You're right.  I just tested a few widgets under Mozilla M18 and NS6. 
They seem to work okay, so there must be *some* backwards-compatibility
with regards to event handling and element positioning. Dragging is kind
of jerky, like IE.

Regardless, I don't think the API as it is written now is taking full
advantage of the DOM in those browsers. Maybe later I'll go in and
experiment, but it's not a priority right now I guess.
