[Dynapi-Help] MouseEvents in Mac IE5 (layers w/images)

I'm having a bit of a problem...

Using the example dynapi.api.mouseevents.htm try adding an image to
myLayer using the setHTML command; it will break in Mac IE5.  All of the
mouseEvents still work in mac nav 4.x, but none of them work in IE5.

I've tried rearranging load orders and the usual tricks, but to no
avail.

Anyone got a work-around or patch?
