Just to clarify, the dragging of lyr1 works fine. What I want to happen is =
when you click on the layer bg1, then lyr1 should move to that point. Hence=
, I need to know the x and y as set on bg1, not to the page. But bg1 itself=
 needs to be relative on the page. Does that make sense?

Doug, I tried your example, but couldn't get it to load.
