Heh, I asked the same question on a forum, and found the answer myself when I went to upgrade Mozilla Firebird a few days later. They changed the name again. Mozilla Phoenity / Firebird / Firefox, what will it be next, and how many revisions will they keep it? Wish they'd just pick a single name and icon and use it already instead of changing it every 6 months. By the way, it does leave a history in Mozilla (1.6a, 1.7a / Win32). Not sure why it does this, I'd have to look at the source and see what it's doing. Have you tried that yet?
