!!!!!!!!!!! Stupid Lookout Express!! We had bug fix in 2.56 that added a trans gif to the background of any = newly generated layer in IE 6. Need to add to 3.0 ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Jesse Vitrone=20 To: dyn...@li...=20 Sent: Tuesday, November 25, 2003 8:37 AM Subject: Re: [Dynapi-Help] offtopic? IE "clear cover layer" Performance of dragging and resizing this layer-with-iframe went to = crap on Mozilla when I add that extra claer gif though, so I had to add = a check and only add the clear gif code for IE. Mozilla doesn't seem to = resize images very well, things gets choppy. Everything is working well though, thanks again. Arijit Das wrote: IE doesn't consider a layer to 'be there' unless there's content on=20 it, as far as I have seen. A simple work-around would be to place a=20 clear, 1 pixel by 1 pixel image, in the cover layer and stretch it to=20 the layers width and height. Hope that helps... I have layer A, which has an iframe on it. I don't want people to be=20 able to click on the website in the iframe at certain times, so I=20 need to make a clear cover layer over it. To do this, I added layer=20 B as a child of A, and it covers it completely. In Mozilla - works great, you can see the page in the iframe, but=20 nothing is clickable. Here's the problem: In IE - if I make the cover layer a color, then I only see the color,=20 and I can't click anything that it's covering, even when I click=20 where a link would normally be on the page below, so far so good. =20 But when I change the color of the cover layer to "transparent", then=20 it's like it's not there. I can click right through it to the page=20 below. Any ideas how to make a clear cover layer in IE? Or is there someway=20 to make an iframe "view only" ?
