You're correct! The file is missing! 

I thought I had uploaded this file before. Anyway I've
uploaded it to the CVS so you can check it out to see
if it's working. You can also use the attached file if
necessary.

Hello Everyone,

With the release of this version of the TemplatManager
I've managed to create a new type of DynAPI components
called HTMLComponents.

What are HTMLComponents (HC)?
--------------------------
These are insertable DynAPI components that renders to
pure HTML codes. Most HTMLComponents are design-time
components, meaning you can only change their
properties before they are inserted into the document
or template.
 If you change the property of a design-time only
component after it has been inserted into the document
or template, you'll have to re-insert the component
(or regenerate the template) for the new changes to be
made visible. 
 HCs were specifically designed to work with
TemplateManager but can also be used to generate HMTL
for other DynAPI widgets.

If you're having problems with the site then have a
look at the attached screenshot.

You might have to refesh your browser to download the
modified scripts.

It would be cool if others can join in and help create
some HTMLComponents as they're very easy to create.
Here's a list of some that I've thought of. The one
with + before them I'm currently working on:

that we could implement providing that the group is in
agreement with these new components. These components
will NOT replace the existing rich gui components that
DynAPI users are accustom to, but instead will be used
to complement them.

HTMLHoverButton
HTMLDatePicker
HTMLColorPicker
HTMLMenu
HTMLToolBar
HTMLSpinButton
HTMLIcon
HTMLImageRotator

In total that's about 25 easy to use components to
begin with! And the list will keep on growing...

Join in the fun and let's create some easy-to-use,
cross-browser and light-weight HTMLComponents. 

PS. Because HCs can render themselves to HTML and does
not require DynLayers, it might be possible for HCs to
be supported in all browsers thus reaching the browser
"X" platform - "Write once run in any browser" - Just
a thought!

test to see if it break anything

Secondly does Phoenix 0.4 support image rollovers? Is
this a bug?

Hi All,

With the Beta 1 of DynAPI 3.0 soon to be release I
would like to know if there is any one on this list
who's familiar with the dynapi web files on
sourceforge (dynapi.sourceforge.net)? I can't seem to
get my user account to work. Any of the admins still
around?

I've upload thw lastest copy of the dynapi that I have
to the CVS. This update includes the follow:

Updates
-----------

+ Updated Documentation & Examples
+ add fix to prevent IOElement for displaying an
incomplete progress bar when using IE
+ add dynapi.ua.gecko - return true if browser uses
the gecko engine
+ rename setBorder to setInnerBorder() and setBorder2
to setBorder()
+ separate SnapX Class from MotionX
+ modify FocusManager to support TabManager
+ add TabManager extensions
! new keyvents don't work with keyevents example
+ remove setIntegrated debug feature
+ finalize setClass and getElmWidth settings
+ DynLayer now supports a 7th agrument called image -
used for bgImage
+ add BorderManager - setInnerBorder() and
setOuterBorder()
+ add Higlighter widget
+ remove setBorder() from dynlayer_base.js to
bordermanager.js and use layers to implement borders.

Know issues:
--------------

* setBorder2() (now called setBorder) is generating an
error it's called before the page loads: line
43:if(o.n && o.n.c==null) o.n.c=this.parent.bgColor; 

+ mouseover and out bubbling problems in ns4
	* problem: mouseover/out bubbling... if the child
layer receives the mouseout event it would be bubbled
to the parent to trigger the parent's mouseout event.
	* solution: mouseover/out events will not be bubbled
if the child layer ._hasMousEvents or if the
captureMouseEvents() function was called.
		mouseover/out events will only be bubbled if the
child layer does not have any mouse events
(._hasMouseEvents==false)
		this makes it possible to add cover layers without
forcing captureMouseEvents()
		child layers that don't have any mouse events will
pass on the events to it's parent

Things To Do
---------------

Here are some of the outstanding this to be done:

1) Update FAQ section of docs
2) Update what's new page
3) Finalize other areas of the docs
4) Test new code
5) Add updates/fixes

Anyone have sometime available to help complete the
above?

My reason for asking this is because I've not gotten

I haven't really looked into it too much, so it's a little beyond me.  But I
think if I understand the idea, it's sounds like a good one, so maybe just
include it and see if further comments come back from users / developers.

Not sure about HTMLComponents yet. I noticed that on
the example site the button images are downloaded on each
mouse over/out. I thought they would be cached first time
as they use the dynapi.functions.getImage() interface.

I have updated getImages() as I think it is good practice to
include width and height in <img ..> tags if available. I did
notice that getHTML() rarely has a downloaded image to
work with. I only have a 56K dialup account.

Can't see why. All the images should have been cached.

With the new Frame() class no need for setOuterBorder().

There is no more setBorder2() or slow object manipulation
in the new Frame() class.

Will the new Frame() class be a part of
bordermanager.js? How will it interface with the now
setInnerBorder()? Should we rename setInnerBorder to
setBorder?
