Install instructions: run the Setup.exe, then replace FDD.exe with the cracked exe in the CD Razor1911 folder. DO NOT apply the game patch or the game will be safedisk protected again.
The problem: the game needs some event to start the mouse relative position handling. In default windowed configuration you need to Alt-Tab out and in again. Setting Fullscreen mode (uncheck the "Run in window" and set window style as "default") the game starts and runs perfectly.
I wonder if the message that triggers the mouse behavior could be something related to the change of video mode (a change that obviously doesn't happen in windowed emulated mode). I need to make experiments about this, it is a problem common to other games maybe.
Also this reminds me that I should change some DxWnd defaults, for sure the Window style set as "default" would be more appropriate.

Interesting fact: at startup in windowed mode the mouse is not the only part that is not responsive. Also the Alt-F4 key is ignored. Luckily Alt-Tab is taken and processed, but I wonder what happens ...

A wave of curiosity hit me while reading this behind-the-scenes note, because technical quirks like a stuck mouse can totally break the flow of an otherwise nostalgic gaming moment. It’s interesting how the issue behaves differently in windowed and fullscreen modes, almost like the game’s old framework is fighting modern system behavior. While thinking about it, I was browsing through NajboljseIgralnice and got reminded how smooth and polished interfaces can really elevate the whole gaming experience. It would be amazing to see this classic title get a small fix so players can enjoy it without interruption. With just a bit of attention, the whole atmosphere could feel refreshed and far more immersive.

This profile works better for me. I changed some DirectInput settings in the "Input" tab, but it's not granted that they will work for anybody else.
If you are interested in running the game in fullscreen mode, curiously setting the "Main > position" selector to "Color emulation" eliminates the initial cursor lock in the upper-left corner of the screen.
I haven't investigated all the issues. The first issue is, whether running in windowed or fullscreen mode, the mouse is stuck in the corner
In windowed mode, focusing out of the game fixes the mouse, but not even in fullscreen mode.
Can you look into it? The game is available on old games ru
Testing, problem replicated here ...

Unfortunately not here. The mouse is still unresponsive. I will change other things
Edit: Nvm it works, I enabled too many Input settings

I fixed the original post.
