Did you already try to set the DxWnd "Video / Window style" selector to "modal"?

Is there a way to change this in the INI? I can't find that option in the exe menu.
I'm using an app that calls dxwnd

The change is made setting the "modal" flag as shown in the picture. If you're using a different fron-end program, I don't know...
