[Dxr3plugin-users] [PATCH] Switch to the ALSA audio interface

Hi,

I announced it a few days ago, and here it is. With those patches (on 
top of latest CVS), it is now possible to use vdr-plugin-dxr3 with ALSA.

I've decided to publish my mercurial repository to
  http://freehg.org/u/nboullis/vdr-plugin-dxr3/

Note that I thought I'd try to port my patches to git head, but I 
realized that Christian had decided to massively rework the audio 
part just after I sent my previous message to this list... :-(

I pulled from your repo and compiled it but I have no sound. Instead,
lots of this in my log:

vdr: [4701] dxr3: unable to play whole audio frame, skipped 4608 bytes

Thanks for your report.

This appened to me as well. But then I started a recored video, and the 
sound went fine. And it was still fine when I switched back to live 
video... Can you check whether it does the same for you? Anyway, there 
certainly is a bug here... :-(

On the other hand, it looks like Christian committed some ALSA support 
to git, a few hours after my message...
I haven't yet had the opportunity to give his code a try, and as far as 
I can see it can't (yet) support AC3 or DTS pass-through, but it might 
work better than my code...
