Hello. I successfully compiled, installed and get worked em8300 on my 2.4.31 kernel (DSL linux). I have PIII 800 MHz CPU what enough (I hope so) for software divx encoding & playback (windows 98 with ffdshow & directshow HPlus filter can do it).
I use mplayer for mp4 (divx) playback. Everything looks great (smooth playback, nice sound, good synchronization) except of the wide (widest then 640 pxl) movies. Also I can't switch to the 16:9 mode. em8300config -w doesn't solve the problem. It shows 16:9 after command but playback still worked just in 4:3 (small black boxes on top and bottom, and the edge cut for left & right). How I can fix it (some mplayer hacks?)?
Also I have a question. Perl script extracts 3 microcode file from HPlus quazar.vxd. I use microcode0.bin for upload. What the difference between these files?
