Mmm...I have a Voodoo3 3000 too and I have bad news to you...there is NOT really a "DVD Hardware Assist" (like iDCT) function present in the chip...the legend in the box is just comercial crap...it refers only to its overlay capabilities.
Anyway, if you have a DXR3 or a H+ board you won't need any extra acceleration, it works great for itself!
