If you're on Windows there's no reason not to use ChemSep unless you're working with compounds that it doesn't support. Other than that, ChemSep's column model is much superior to DWSIM's internal model.

I see. I usually try my column models first when I need them, if they fail to converge after a few tweaks, I change it to a ChemSep column. Even ChemSep has trouble converging in some cases...

What is the problem with the native distillation collum?
I'm not supporting Reboiled/Refluxed Absorber columns in DWSIM anymore, they're there only for compatibility reasons.

Yes, i use ChemSep without problems but we are introducing your simulator in our course.
For teaching I prefer stay only in DWsim.
