The selected compounds for a simulation shall be displayed at the top of list in Setting Window/ Compound. Right now you have to scroll all over the list to find them! A side panel to show selected compounds may be also useful!
Modal windows: Some DWSIM windows like Setting are modal. The issue is they stay over all open windows in current desktop while it shall only stay over open windows in DWSIM
Single click on objects in Flowsheet opens the Object Editors in the sidebar for editing object! This is not good as you may want to relocate object and single click is used to select the object. It is better to use double click for opening Object Editors.
Gas-Liquid Separator: Why the gas-liquid separator has 6 inlet streams! In industry we have no such cases even so, in simulation environment it is enough to use a mixer and the connect the outlet to mixer to separator

Dear Mohammad,
I agree with you.
I think, the older version (DWSIM v 5.2 (Classic UI)) was better in this case. I mean you could see the compound list in a separate place while in the version 6, the list is not appeared!
The attached file show the desired config, but version 5.2.

It is strange that the selected compounds don't appear on the top for you. It always does for me. I prefer the current way as I don't keep playing with the compounds after creating the simulation, but others surely may have a different opinion. Let's see how it goes.
It looks like that Mohammad wants DWSIM to look and feel like HYSYS more and more, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea as I can be sued for stealing their GUI design.

@Daniel,
No I dont like to have DWSIM a clone of Hysys! But by experience I think selected compounds shall appear first. I learned this can be done if we open DWSIM simulation setting window and that is okay.
Regarding the single click in my first post, it happens you unintentionally click an object for example you want to right click and you did left click, you see the object editor just changing over and over! So, I asked a double click instead of single click! The probability of double clicking by chance or mistake is very low.
By the way we LOVE DWSIM and we just try to help to make it better and better
Wish you all the best Daniel.

@Mohammad, I've personally used HYSYS as an inspiration for DWSIM since the beginning. In earlier releases they had a lot more in common but I'm trying to move away from that so DWSIM can have its own identity. DWSIM did have a separate list for Compounds in the past but it was causing some very important issues under Linux, which is why I've removed it. I still don't know why your selected compounds are not appearing at the top of the list, because it always does here.
As for the double click for editing, I think I've put an option for that in the general settings panel, but I'm not sure if it is working, perhaps you could give it a try?

As these are related to code, I will also post as issue reports on GitHub!

I've just checked and there is no option for double click. I'll work on it for the next update and think about something for the compounds.
