I have just started to use dwsim and my first try ends after a couple of
minutes in a bug - or better in two different bugs:
Calculating the heat exchanger area in SI-units leads to a value in a factor of 1000 too small.......just an error in dimensions
In calculations the program requires and overestimated set of parameters. When I define two ingoing streams and three temperatures the program requires the fourth temperature. But this temperature is thermodynamically fixed by the three other enthalpy flows. Therefore the enthalpy-difference on the hot side is not equal to the enthalpy flow on the cold side. That is a bug.....
No bug, just an item: the modul calculates counter current flow heat exchangers only.

1 - That´s because with the default SI units the heat load is in kW, while the
OHTC is in W/, so the area must be multiplied by a factor of 1000 as you
stated.
2 - You´re right on this too. I added the area calculation mode in the last
minute and forgot to check that.
3 - I'll add the co-current calculation as an option in the property grid.
I'll make the necessary corrections ASAP. Please tell me if you find more
bugs, and thanks for using DWSIM and giving some feedback.

Thanks a lot, Daniel! You have been really fast in building up all this! Never
mind, I wouldn't stop using the program, absolute fascinating to have a free
chemical engineering software.....
