I would like to know if it possible to select the water/hydrocarbon solubility (miscible/immiscible) for some property packages in DWSIM. I cannot see the option anywhere and I think it would solve my problems in the absorber and mixers.
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
there is no such option!
If you want to calculate the solubility of hydrocarbons you need to select a flash algorithm and a property package beeing capable to calculate a VLLE equilibrium.
For instance you can use NRTL with "Nested Loops (VLLE)". If your components are missing interaction parameters in the database you either can estimate them with a group contribution model like "Modified UNIFAC (NIST)", or you may do a regression from experimental data an save them to a user interaction parameter database.
I hope that will help you?
