I am trying to calculate the temperature drop of CO2 across a valve due to the drop in pressure. At the inlet, the temperature is 318 K and 3400 psi. The CO2 drops to atmospheric pressure at the outlet of the valve. For some reason, my simulation shows that the outlet temperature is 2000 K. Does anyone know why I'm getting these results? Also, I am using Peng-Robinson property package.
